A Core Pillar of the HOSPES Program
At Four Seasons Vilamoura Resort, we are thrilled to announce that our resort has been recognised by the AHP Hospes Program for our significant contributions to social responsibility. As part of our recent refurbishment, we donated furniture and other items to various social action institutions, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and community support.
Social responsibility lies at the heart of the HOSPES Program. Since its inception in 2013, the program has focused on the donation of hotel goods, starting with the initiative "One mattress, one heart," which aimed to provide mattresses to those in need. Over the past decade, the program's impact has surpassed all expectations, with more than 240,000 goods donated to over 100 institutions. This initiative has not only supported countless individuals but also contributed significantly to environmental sustainability by saving 672 million litres of water and eliminating over 67 tons of waste.
Our Contribution: A Step Towards a Sustainable Future
In line with the principles of the HOSPES Program, Four Seasons Vilamoura Resort has made a substantial contribution by donating a variety of goods during our recent refurbishment. This effort aligns with the program's broader goals, which include:

- Inclusive Employment: The program works to facilitate inclusive recruitment, partnering with national institutions to support individuals with disabilities, those in precarious economic situations, the unemployed, and refugees. This approach ensures that everyone has access to employment opportunities, fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Corporate Volunteering: By encouraging corporate volunteering, the HOSPES Program strengthens the bonds between hotels and their communities. This initiative allows hotel staff to engage in meaningful volunteer work, creating positive impacts and enhancing the sector's relationship with the local community.
