On the 14th of this month, Portugal marked National Day for Equal Pay, raising awareness of the gender pay gap and the need for equal pay for equal work.
In Portugal, women still earn 13.2% less than men on average, and when bonuses and allowances are factored in, this disparity increases to 16%. This highlights the continued need for change to ensure fair pay across all sectors.
